We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring deep into the lush, green Iya Valley with Iya Valley Tours. Our guide Aki was a joy: generous with her time, knowledge, and stories. We felt like we learned something about what life is like living in the area from a local. The tour had excellent variety and allowed us to see much more than we would ever have been able to on our own. All of the logistics work out, including being met at and dropped off at Oboke station. We also had a wonderful lunch with local specialties. We don't normally take tours, but we are glad we did -- it was well worth the price for this unique experience.
